Got the opportunity via the UK songwriting Festivals in 2009 and 2010 to record 4 songs with Davey Ray Moor - the great main songwriter multi-instrumentalist of Cousteau. I have been a huge fan since their first singles. Felt I couldn't admit it to Davey until we'd got the first two studio tracks out of the way for fear of coming over like an adrenalised gushing fanboy (even if I am). But he was a great guy and a real joy to work with. :)
I met Jimmy Webb in Santa Cruz California where I live and I had a meet and greet with Charlie Daniels up in Oakland - nice people
If i could meet Richard Galliano!!! i have a dream!
Well I went to see a guns n Rose's tribute band, and they were amazing! Got a pic with the bassist, that is the face of happiness!
I was 9 years old at a Loretta Lynn concert back in the 60's. After the concert she was signing autographs. She looked out at the people and saw that they were all getting in front of me. She said "Bring that little red haired kid up here". She put me in her lap and rubbed my red hair and said "Aren't you the cutest little thing". She signed my poster and gave me a signed Statue. Took me on her bus and had everyone in her band sign it including her husband. I still have them today.
I've had an expirience last year meeting and playing with my childhood guitar hero.. It was not what I was expecting.. He was a lot different than I would imagine him to be.. However I understood a great thing at that point. We are all humans, no matter how famous or successfull we are. We can be down sometimes.. And it's ok. We like the artists becouse of their art, not their personality..
Would love to record a song with Lana Del rey :D
Always a disappointment IMHO. Never meet your idols.
I've met a fair share of famous musicians but not my favorite though... :-( but who knows. The future has not yet passed so maybe one day I will
Met some of them! And most of them are unpreitious dudes who happen to play guitar... :)
