Been in the industry for 40 years: Began writing comedy for stand up comedians and interactive patter for cabaret artists for the first 15. Running alongside and overlapping this discipline, my work developed into writing comedy sketches, sit-com, which developed into radio presenting; writing (3) musicals and (2 short films). Now in pre-production for a choir version of the musical "Boudicca: First Britannia Queen." currently looking for a DJ/Producer to do the music for a musical version of my short film, "The Violent Majority" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8nkxel6yhs&t=14

When I watched others do my work - fantastic!
Idea: Musicians Union could engage a high profile celebrity to act as a torch bearer for their organisation. A link in with PRS regarding artists money revenue could be a positive move.
Never heard of it until today. I hope registering provides me with some contacts and friends who are positive artists.
Through Writers & Artists Year book over a few decades, I've struggled finding representation as one who initially wrote comedy and more latterly writes musicals.
Over the years I've followed local artists such as bands:- The Buzzcocks; The Lottery Winners; Jeremiah Ferrari and The Swingtime Big Band with Andy Prior.
To get an artist to a larger audience isn't just about the artist/musician. An artists needs to be open to working as part of a team. It's a team that wil be required as the musician/artist becomes more popular or recognized. So for the individual, self drive, self belief and constant motivation. It's not necessarily a larger audience that helps an artists develop for the long haul; its the longevity of that large audience; the quality of that audience - and that the artist being booked is in the right place at the right time-slot in the right venue - with an apt atmosphere developed.
The Lottery Winners; Jeremiah Ferrari; The Hat's; Jane Harvey; Hooper.
