"I'm influenced most by the early 90s rock movement, when I was first inspired to pick up a guitar, and discovered a new language of how to express my feelings, in ways I didn't know before." After recording demos and honing his craft, Warner promises the "Cream of the crop" with an all-out sonic assault of music beginning with Album-1 which covers a range of genres from Rock, Punk, Grunge, Metal, Blues, Industrial, electronic & gothic soundscapes, to straight up space music. "This music will be paired with short films that convey a storyline throughout both concept albums. Getting a little EP produced is the first goal." Warner says. "It is based on a sci-fi opera I've been developing, before this current shitfest landed on us..The songs are about a revolution for freedom gone completely wrong. A role reversal of sorts. It is set in a dystopia before, during and after World War 3 in an alternate universe where people dress like they're in the 1950's. Album-2 most deals with that in theme, it's a sci-fi civil war album set in two universes, pasts merged together. So there is this conflict in every song, both internally and externally."

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music to me is Magic. Every good song I've heard from the time I was born, from what my parent's listened too, to what I grew up with later has had some effect on me. A song you connect with is like an old friend guiding you, or speaking to you. It's spiritual and the soul craves it. I was 11 when Nirvana exploded onto the scene. Like many other kids in my generation, (the last to know what reality was like before the internet) many of us bought little cheap guitars. Within 6 months after figuring out basic power chords I had already gone the alternate tuning route, and made a little album of songs, recorded on a boombox. It's as if the pain in those early dark songs were there all along. So exploring the guitar initially gave me a new voice that I never knew I had, so that tool of expression helped me through many dark & lonely times. I was a British transplant who ended up in California when I was 11. It was not easy adjusting to a new culture, and losing my accent. So discovering and then making music, growing as an artist and producer I found a new voice to beable communicate what I wanted to myself or to anyone. Music is an aquaduct to the soul, and I'm not sure how I would've survived the darkness without it as an outlet.

What is your music dream?

Really to put out 3 albums I've been demoing for years, and combine with the story and the visual. I studied film as I initially wanted to be a film director. So combining those things together I have a story I want to tell, it's sci-fi concept album with many themes. I want to get that done. I'm a one-man band, always have been. One dream would be to somehow play in front of an audience of friends and fans. My biggest dream is my music getting across to that 13-yr old kid who's having a rough time in life, and that my music could speak to those kids who are bullied and abused. If one of my songs could make them feel less lonely, or a affect them in any positive way, then I've done my job.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Bring the arts and music more into the forefront of education, starting at the beginning. Fuck math.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

The first song I think I heard was "More than this" by Roxy Music, because my parents played Roxy alot in England. It's part of my musical DNA. That and of course "Africa" by Toto haha.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in chains, Smashing Pumpkins, Failure, Marilyn Manson, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Hendrix, and too many more to list.

What inspires you to make music?

Pain, loneliness, loss, nature, the need to escape, love, anger, the need to express a message. Dreams, Nightmares. I suppose that is the abstract. Sometimes it's a bit like being an archeologist of the soul and subconscious. I'll sit down and play around. An idea forms then takes on a life of it's own I sometimes don't have control over. There are many songs I've made where I go "How did that happen? how did i get those sounds?" so it becomes a very intuitive process in an improvised way. That would get me lost back in the day, but now it feels natural. It's the fun of the exploration, not knowing what you might end up generating, good or bad.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

I'm not sure if there is one "absolute message" Some of my music is cautionary, some of it lashes out at the banalities and evils of society, all while being evil or satirical in it's own way. I wouldn't want to define my music down into ONE single message. But I guess some of it is expressed in it's own way, just be yourself, don't give a fuck what other people think, and don't try to be like anyone else. you are you, never underestimate yourself. You have more power inside than you know, you just need to find it, and then your niche and the music, the honesty will flow.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Scared shitless. I've been doing karaoke for the last 2 years, and before that I would just watch my friends go up. I was too afraid. I finally went up and did an easy one "In Bloom" by Nirvana. And never looked back. I've karaoked about 27 songs now. It has absolutely helped me overcome much of my stage fright. When I perform, the only thing i regret is that I forget about the audience as I'm super-focused on just doing the song right! so I wish I was a little more interactive, but that's about just going with the flow. I'm part of a karaoke group, and without those crazy awesome singers I wouldn't have the confidence I have now. Because I don't have a band, and my music is very hard to reproduce live. I might get my songs into karaoke, lol.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

No more amateur photoshopping for banners, website. Invest in a designer. Image isn't everything, but it is important. Your music might be beyond stellar, but if you have a dumpy graphic with a shitty font that communicates to a potential listener that you don't "give a fuck" about your music either. This is important advice Marilyn manson gave to me many years ago "This image is outdated. The sound to be improved." speaking of which mine does..musicians need to visually draw in listeners. I'm not saying fucking throw glitter all over yourself and wear a silver suit, I'm just saying if you're going to do it. Do it in style, and do it in your style. And learn promotion. Many bands and artists don't know how to promote, sadly. I've seen an artist/friends of mine go through extraordinary lengths to put together a show with money resources in a big decent venue, only to have 15 people show up, mainly family and friends. Find someone to spread the word. Never underpromote.

What do you think of Drooble?

I just got here, but I think it's pretty cool sofar. Like a facebook for musicians!

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Today's horrible forcefed, disposable music that has no longevity.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I go to shows to support friends, and when I for some reason can't, I promote their show to my online followers and spread the word.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Stand out. Have a distinct show. Think of your music as a film. Think visually. Surprise us. Promote with boots on the ground and online. Have an incredibly unique music video. Hand out free demos. Print a thousand. Make custom posters, and really awesome T-shirts. Give them out to your friends. Bumper stickers. Play regularly, every week. Get off the computer and go socialize. Get your music into karaoke. Don't charge a thing until your album comes out. Social media, etc.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Failure. Jettison Twin, Ameleon, and too many more to list.
