Yours Volker pictures in my head In my youth I heard a lot of jazz music, I was very impressed by the Jazz Standard Caravan. By Duke Ellington He was very special to me. He was able to produce pictures in my head in my head. These pictures always put me mentally into oriental countries. I remembered that this is what I experienced before. That was while listening to the equally impressive classical piece: The Moldau of Smetana. This ability developed, I think, because of the very detailed descriptions of Moldova for the places you are in, which I naturally read. Since I found these journeys to be very relaxing and impressive on both tracks, I decided that if I was to compose a few pieces myself, I wanted to use quasi as the core of the piece in the composition. The genre of jazz is just so much more It was crystal clear that my songs should be jazz. Since Caravan put me in the Orient was also clear which region I wanted to deal with. Logical was then the name. The first time I recorded this song in a piano trio. 1981 with Trilobablena .: Björn Geldermann: piano, trumpet, flute Pedda Scheurer: percussion Volker Mattausch: bass. Even with Monsoon Midnight we could not help playing a version of it. Now I realize that this kind of music is always lover music, and will stay that way. Access to such music is not always easy. Therefore, I have set out from all my own compositions, the thoughts that I had during the composition process once written hold. I take this as a kind of manual for the song. For books, the principle is to produce images in the brain so well known Best example of this is I think: Lord of the Rings - JRR Tolken With about 14 or 15 years I was still living in my parents' house I really swallowed it I was sick in bed, incl. The little hobbit I needed for everything 4 days. In my fantasy journeys through Middle-earth, Mordor, ect. Very nice pictures were taken, a little later a record came to my mind: Bo Hanson-Music inspirerd by Lord of the Rings - actually not a very musical work, but all the pictures came back while listening, so it was personal to me terrific. Long time later, when I saw the films; After all, I was a little disappointed in spite of everything, for myself, my own pictures in my head were simply more impressive. This should be a journey through the region. Then feel like a backpacker traveling this region and getting to know the country and people there. Similar to how Karl May at that time kidnapped his readers in different regions. Get to know the kindness of the people there, your hospitality, celebrate with them a few festivals of joy.- just have a nice time there. Very helpful then may be the idea, since you have a character in a novel by Karl May .. Just invent your own story within this fictional novel by Karl May.- This idea has always helped me with such a kind of music pictures in mine To give birth to the head. I always felt very comfortable. Maybe we meet and then mentally in such a story of you. Have fun then with my songs your Volker
