My name is Vanja, and I come from Croatia. Official bio: Vanja Posavec was born 1992 in Koprivnica, Croatia. He started to play guitar at the age of 10. During the primary and secondary musical education Vanja was studying in Koprivnica and Varaždin in classes of prof. Zlatko Kesteli and then later prof. Antonio Rumenović and prof. Moreno Vinceković. In a year of 2010 he was admitted to Leopold Mozart Zentrum der Universität Augsburg in Germany, where he studies from 2011 till 2015 in the class of prof. Takeo Sato. He has also attended pedagogy classes of prof. Stefan Schmidt, one of the leading guitar pedagogues. After studying in Germany, he continues his studies in Netherlands for two years at Conservatorium Maastricht , where he have earned his Master of Music degree in class of renown guitarist and pedagogue, prof. Carlo Marchione. Vanja was competing on various national and international competitions both as soloist or in chamber music where he won prizes and awards. He was the winner of international guitar competition " Porečki Tirando " in 2011 in solo category. In 2010, Vanja actively participates in founding one of the most influencing associations for classical guitar in Croatia- "Allegro Koprivnica". From 2011 Vanja has been working every summer as a assistant teacher in "Summer guitar school Koprivnica" . He was also working as a guitar teacher in Art music school Fortunat Pintarić in Koprivnica from 2013 to 2015 and his students won prizes and awards on competitions, competing both on national and international level. From 2017 Vanja teaches in Music School “Ivan Matetić Ronjgov” in city of Krk and in Music school “Mirković” in Opatija. The same year he also started to work in his trade “Maestro” as concert artist and private guitar professor. As concert artist, Vanja has performed in Croatia but also other European countries. In 2010 he was honored to perform on event "Youth for youth" in famous Croatian performance venue "Vatroslav Lisinski", in Zagreb. He also performed on guitar festival such as: "IGFA" , 2013 in Augsburg ( Germany), "Tremolo" , 2013 in Skopje (Republic of Macedonia), "3. Pula Guitar Festival" , 2015. in Pula (Croatia). He actively participates every year in events organized by "Allegro Koprivnica" and he have performed, gave master classes and had presentation as part of festivals such as "Classical Guitar Weekend" and "Month of Classical Guitar" in Koprivnica. During 2016 and 2017 Vanja has mainly performed in Netherlands and in Croatia, where he played solo recitals. In 2017 he performed his solo recital as part of "Malinska Music" music festival which has long tradition and it is organized every year on island of Krk, gathering musicians from all over the world. He attended masterclasses by Paolo Pergoraro, Istvan Römer, Zoran Dukić, Viktor Vidović, Johannes Monno, Anders Miolin ,Carlo Marchione, Montenegro Guitar Duo ( Goran Krivokapić and Danijel Cerović), Andrea de Vitis and many other renown guitarists and pedagogues. Vanja is also member of Koprivnica Guitar Duo and secretary of "Allegro Koprivnica" asssociation.
