What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is the language of the soul. It is the universal language that everyone understands. Music inspires my life. Everything is music and music is everything (think the music of the spheres and vibrational physics). It's so basic to my living experience it's comparable to eating or breathing. Music is my first and forever love!

What is your music dream?

To help people feel good when they hear my music. To inspire my listeners to get outside their box and be awesome! To play internationally.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I would first instill a profound love and respect for mother nature. Second I would strive for equality...a reverence for all life, no matter what form it takes. Love is the answer.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

It's a toss-up between "Green Door" by Jim Lowe and Chopin's "Military Polonaise in A".

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

ELP, Yes, Genesis, The Beatles, Styx, Kansas, Gentle Giant, Jean Michael Jarre, Chic Corea, Brand X, Weather Report, Jean Luc Ponty, Jethro Tull, Scriabin, Bach, Beethoven, Hildegard von Bingen, Herbert Groenemeyer

What inspires you to make music?

Life, breathing, experiences, love, sunsets, the sound of windshield wipers, nature...inspiration comes from everywhere and everything.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Life is good and we are all in this together. Music can pull us out of our darkness and into our light. All we need is love....and MUSIC!

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

What a rush! High as a kite! Energized! Love!

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I miss the days when you could tour and play 6 nights a week in one venue (if you were just a copy band). I think technology is both a blessing and a curse to the musical creative process. Sometimes it makes it too easy to lay down an idea, store it, and then forget about it until you've totally lost the grove or the moment that caused you to write it in the first place. Musician's need more support from their communities. Support live music!

What do you think of Drooble?

I think it's awesome! I'm finding lots of new music. Very cool!

What frustrates you most as a musician?

The flakiness of musicians. Leading a band is like herding cats on Psilocybin!

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I mostly go to jams around town and I promote my musician friends on Facebook when they are doing something.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Know your instrument and know how to play with others. Pay attention to your audience and meditate on feedback and critiques. Push yourself beyond your musical boundaries!
