So many people here, so many styles and directions. I love the diversity. Even if it's not "My Kinda Music" I can appreciate the time , effort, heart and soul people have put into it. So when it's all said and done, why did you do it? Be honest . . . . . .
I'm just having fun
I have to do it . It's like eating or breathing. Survival.
If I don't.....I will cease to exist
Been doing it too long to remember
I kinda can’ NOT engage in music, even if it’s just listening. It’s just deeply part of what makes me “me.” Creating music that others engage and identify with is just an extra bonus.
I have a lot of anger and depression. I keep it at bay playing rock and metal. It's the only thing thats ever worked. An hour or two of bliss on the guitar and everything's all better. Always been my go to method.. Not that I don't play when I'm not feeling bad, but then it's just for the love of it
Music is such a powerful language. I love working with the creative process, seeing things unfold, looking for ways to imbue my compositions with emotional content that may touch some one in some way. Lately, though, it's been about bringing beauty into the world. It's a weird quest I have, I guess, to help people stop, listen, and reflect on beauty (which is subjective, of course). Good discussion starter, HJ.
it just my whole life sense i was a young kid cant really explain it
