All this guys are right but i think we have to share at everytime all the material we have because social media is very important to all musician to be known
but there are so many rules... honestly guys how could you focus on your music when you have to do soooo many things ...
Post on sundays.
There is no right or wrong way but it is important to figure out what works best for you for the long term. Also important to know WHO your fans are and what they are like so you know how to best communicate with them. Each platform is different with different crowds so figure out where your most loyal fans hang out and focus on managing that network first. With these things in mind, you DO NOT want to only post things related to your music. The goal is to connect and build relationships so make sure you are sharing other music you listen, news stories that interest, new gear you want, and other things you know will resonate with fans. A good rule to follow is that 7 out of every 10 posts should be about something else not related to your music. Build a community (common unity) around topics and things you enjoy about life and the people who resonate with you will eventually find you and will support your music because they like YOU as a person and want to help YOU with your career...not because you tell them to listen to your song in every single post. Now the flip side of this is playing nice with the algorithms that control what people see on social media. Most people say post once per day but less often is ok. What is key though is engagement....if you can get people liking, sharing and best of all commenting on your posts, you will have an edge with the algorithms that most people don't understand. The more active you are on any network, the more favor you will have with the algorithms but engagement from others with your posts will really boost your visibility and lead to even more engagement... Slow, steady and focused wins the race.
hey guys how this is answering the question? I think you are missing the point there. Sophia is asking how to manage her social network profiles, how regularly should she posts, what kind of content should it be, maybe something about advertising... At least this is what I am thinking
Just stay original.. Keep uploading your own music...;)
first. Focus on Making Quality Music and Record The Best You possibly can. second. Make a quality Video for at least one song. three. Take Quality Photos / Create Great Artwork. Quality Product is Half the job done.
I prefer to be more focused on my music than posting random stuff on social networks... With the expiation of drooble, but as a difference here you could find useful tips that could supplement you working process ;)
I think there is a huge list of rules you should follow but to be honest I feel quite lost on many occasions...
