I think I'd like to be able to make music full time, but as soon as my career depended on the next record being a hit, I'd probably find it too stressful to create freely enough. Similarly, I think I'd have trouble coping if I wasn't financially certain about the future.
I'm in music for sure but not in the music industry so no stress at all. I am present on Jamendo platform since 11 years where they also launched since a few years a Jamendo Pro section that allow artists present on Jamendo to have their music used by professionals and get some money from It. It's allowed me by just subscribing to this program to get enough little money to buy some equipment for my music (headphones, cables, microphone and a Korg keyboard) I don't need more to be happy.π π
βThe music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs.β (Hunter S. Thompson). Had my share of experience in last 15 years, I could probably write books about it. Still not giving up, yet π€·ββοΈπ€

Well, I'm not in the industru, so I don't really know!

It is not for me, because I am not trying to make a living from it.
hey Steve thanks for your read and your applaud.
I think it's more frustrating than stressful. Although being frustrated too many times can lead to stress!
There is only stress if you let there be .no stress for me for the music side .the booking and chasing gigs side is alot of stress with all the lying and bs. That goes with an i be damned if i pay to play or for the exspouser.
