I'm just a songwriter trying my best to bring good music out of my guitar from the lyrics. Some times I am successful and some times, it's back to the drawing board. Music has such a healing ability! Like laughter, it makes being human a real blessing. I have always loved music! But instead of hearing it, I felt it and studied it by analyzing the songs from a deeper perspective! Music is spiritual! Every soul has an ability to create beautiful music! You can learn things along the way but the magic comes from uncompromising solitude and endurance! Anything worth doing is worth doing well! Why should music be any different? It's really sad these days that so many artists fail to give their best with lyrics as they do with music!!! For me lyrics may be even be more important! Thanks for your visit! I'm always open to listen and feel creations from new talent.
Music is absolution. Music is a refuge. Music is a healer. Music is a faceless friend. Music is harmony in acceptance of life's circumstances. Music is Divine! Music is the ability to create a beautiful pattern after the similitude of our Creator! Look at the stars, moon and sun. We can't achieve such lofty dreams as those but we can all be destined for greatness! Music is one way to do that! Even if it is in your own private world or little neighborhood. If you find a fan of your music, you did something right!
I would love to bring comfort to wounded souls with my music. But to point out that God is the source of my creativity, strength and foresight. And if it was possible, I would love to have writing as my primary means of support with a better lifestyle than the humble way I'm living now. Being of limited resources can be a hardship but it teaches one how to improvise. I'm not a materialistic person but I like nice things too. Being loved for your music should be the only dream!
The world could change by only one heart at a time. And the Golden Rule would work with anyone! Try to be nice to the unloving! Go out further when you can. Don't give a man a fish. Teach him how to!
I grew up listening to Carpenters. Loved them. I also was fond of Dr. Hook.
The Who was huge in the 70's. The power of their sound was a driving force! I also loved Pink Floyd because of the simplicity David Gilmore had but the lyrics were a little off the wall. lol I also liked Elvis when he did the 70's music from BJ Thomas, Neil Diamond and others. I thought The cars were cool and then came Green Day and Counting Crows. I like music with high energy and I also love soft ballads like in Pop Rock.
My love for things! My love for Creation, life and the Giver of it! My love for my wife! I have often heard melodies in my dreams and some of my work comes from those. Never words, just music.
Life is a hardship! No one escapes that! But in a good moment, life is beautiful and wonderful! Music adds to that wonder and beauty and to the blissfulness of being alive!
When I play just a song on my guitar and someone enjoys it to sing with me or tap their feet, it gives me a stronger drive to do it the best I possibly can! It actually seems to give me more energy!
This is easy! I'm very ashamed of the watered down way music today is getting produced. The artists don't even care about the lyrics! And the repetition in songs is sickening! Also, rap in it's own lane is fine but there is way more to music than rap could dream to be! And it's becoming too processed. that is one reason, i threw down my keyboard and picked up my guitar. I'm not great at it yet but I am getting it better.
It's been really nice. I've only been here two days presently.
It's easy to get bored and lethargic about music when you do it alone! It's not money that hinders me. It's that my strength in numbers is non existent! I really seek out those who believe in me to be a part of what I'm doing.
I don't go to any bars or anywhere alcohol is sold anymore. Being out after dark has become a very dangerous choice. Nothing wrong or risky to just to hang out with friends for a little jam session!
Sincerity followed by a beautiful melody.
Maybe Mike Oldfield. But there is one guy and one only i have found to be quite gifted as a musician. His name is Jimi Holscher and he's on You tube. His unique sound can't be disputed!
