Tomm is an Italian singer & songwriter. Born in 2002, he's been part of the band "Colorspots" since 2017. After Vittorio Dal Maso, Colorspots' drummer, left the group, Tomm and Christian Ventriglia, the guitarist, started their new project "Eccentric Toward The Creator". During the band breakup in 2019 Tomm started experimenting songwriting on his own. Even though he's been making music only for months it is already noticeable an improvement in his skills. "I'm not a good singer" says Tomm "I'm not that good at songwriting either. But I think my skills as a lyricist are not bad at all actually". In October 2019 Tomm released his first single "Ginger Ale" as a joke. But, after that, during a depressing time of his life, he started working on his own music more seriously. On November 30th, 2019 "Get Drunk And Cry In Bed", the singer's first EP sees the light. After that, on January, Tomm focused on a more ambitious project, a complex picture. The fruit of this hard work is "Amore E Guerra E Filo Spinato", Tomm's first LP, a record on which he tried to link together themes such as war, love and politics. The album follows Tomm's love life through the period that goes from December 2019 to February 2020, intervalled by social themes. In May 2020 Tomm announced his new album realising the song "Puppet". "This LP will completely reboot Tomm", He said.
Music is my blank canvas, and I'm just trying to do something interesting with it
I want to become a great composer and an expert in music theory
I would alway start with small things, because they can make the change. (like helping others etc.)
My grandpa used to listen to a lot of Franco Battiato's stuff. "Bandiera Bianca" is still in my mind after all these years.
I do love Arctic Monkeys a lot, 'Cause of the sinoptic view of Alex Turner in each and every studio LP, and their shape-shifting ability. I think "Tranquility Base Hotel&Casino" was one of the greatest comeback of all time.
Making music is a need that I have in my soul. It helps me shelter from reality and hide in my little precious world.
I think my music has two messages. The first is the obvious one (like, in a breakup song you can totally understand that I talk about a breakup), but I always hide a second, more profound message for everyone who wants to spend more time appreciating the song.
I just feel alive. It males me forget about all of my problems.
I think nowadays everyone can make music. And it's positive! I learnt a lot thanks to the advance in music production (and I've got a lot to learn still), but I think a lot of people doesn't see this as a chance to push our horizon further, instead, they're sticking to their guns (and they're also weak ones most of the time)
Just discovered it, hope it'll be a fun ride
I think it bothers me a bit not to have a lot of attention on my music. But I know I can do better and one day I'll produce something that other people will like too. Sooner or later!
Unfortunately, I'm not that good at discovering new artist. But lately I'm trying to come out of my shell and start listening to more new music.
I think that if someone doesn't bring anything to the game, he doesn't deserve to get a larger audience. But if you've got a solid base and a good production you're good to go, I guess. (Still prefer songs with a worse production, but more experimental tho)
I like Liily, tho they're stil evolving their sound. Lately I've been obsessed with "Play Dead" by MAX RAD and "Humpty Dumpty" by acid tongue. Rufus T. Firefly has some great studio tracks, like "Rio Wolf". Least but not last, my mate Christian Ventriglia has recently released his first LP "Sky Of Glass", which is a concept album that totally blew me away
