Story

The Reflections is comprised of identical twin brothers, Tim and Dan McGuigan. Based out of Brooklyn, their songwriting is influenced by catchy 90s alt hooks and current NYC indie music, along with vulnerable lyrics. The result is music that's bittersweet -- melodious and reflective.

Seeking to foster experiences that make us feel alive and in-it-together

Whatever you're feeling is alright

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

I feel alive and connected

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

We're at a cross-roads between a streaming revolution and the traditional way of being heard (e.g. non-stop touring). It can be improved by creating additional pathways to being heard

What do you think of Drooble?

Drooble has been awesome so far, looking forward to diving in more

What frustrates you most as a musician?

The projection and facade of "being cool". Let's be genuine ppl!

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I love supporting artists and friends in NYC, attending their shows, supporting their work monetarily, etc.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

First it must start with a quality product/song. But then it's stepping out into the uncomfortable, and putting yourself out there (e.g. social media, Spotify, Drooble, influencers) to see if it truly resonates with others.
