Paul and Steven Herron, being actual brothers, have played and sang together for a lifetime. Hailing from the most north eastern borders of England, they are living proof of the old but rubbish adage, “Sharing the bath water results in musical osmosis”. Up until 2015 they fronted Derby’s The Sons, gaining their “pop chops” through those years, releasing and touring two albums on the continent with Hamburg’s PopUp Records. The glorious demise of their old band was followed by a two year period of intense writing recording and rehearsing; live highlights during that time including two hometown shows with The Bluetones and Toploader, a headline appearance at Y-Not festival, and representing the city of Derby at the Osnabruck music festival. By 2018 they were ready to put out “The Last Ones Left”, their first album as a duo. Beginning in June, a five month campaign with Lander PR saw the lads release three singles, (each steadily gaining more radio play and online attention) then embark upon a UK acoustic tour in October to celebrate that month’s album release. Praise for ‘The Last Ones Left’ album The inevitable Christmas single followed, with an accompanying Black Mirror-esque type video proving there was no beginning to the brothers’ acting talents. 2019 began with the lads writing and recording again for an upcoming EP release and second UK tour in April/May, and, having honed their two man/two acoustic guitars show, they can’t wait to share the harmony laden songs with festival audiences up and down the country.
