The Greyhound

Bio

History In 2006 Paul Slater took on The Greyhound with the intention of turning it into a great live music venue. He had a huge task turning this once run down pub into the warm, friendly, fun-packed entertainment venue that it became known for in such a short time. The Greyhound was increasingly popular with locals, families, students and musicians alike, with secure parking at the rear of the building for those travelling from afar. Add to this award winning beers, great atmosphere and live music and you can’t go wrong. Or so we thought........ Unfortunately Paul became seriously ill and was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2013 and had to retire from The Greyhound. Today The Greyhound is still carrying on the good work that Paul started ten years ago and the team that consists of old and new staff who worked with Paul will continue to offer you the best in live music and entertainment. We rely on you the public to keep us going and we appreciate your dedication to coming into the pub every week. Future We will continue to bring you some excellent cover and tribute bands but we will also be bringing you some exciting new original bands and also touring bands. Watch the event pages for listings or why not follow the events to keep up to date with upcoming shows.
