What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is a great bridge to understanding, much like a language everyone can understand, but not always speak. It's a catalyst to empathy for those who feel alone and a remedy to those who feel broken. Music for us is therapeutic and gives us the ability to be a voice for others, while also being a voice for ourselves.

What is your music dream?

Our musical dream is to affect real sociological, psychological, spiritual, and political change as artists, across the globe. Being a voice for those who are like the people in our band, is what our mission has always been.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

We would make the world empathetic. We must learn to love ourselves as a people, in time, however in order to learn to love people, we must first learn to understand each other and see people as equals.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

All Star by Smash Mouth

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Death Cab for Cutie My Bloody Valentine Built To Spill The Cure Slowdive Ride Young the Giant Wilco Arcade Fire Beach Fossils Wavves Alvvays Fleetwood Mac The Beatles Tool Slayer Rodriguez Red Hot Chili Peppers Nirvana Oasis New Order Joy Division The Smiths Pink Floyd Silversun Pickups Foals The 1975 Two Door Cinema Club Black Sabbath The Postal Service Mac DeMarco Wild Nothing U2 Gerard Way The Beach Boys Snarky Puppy Blue Oyster Cult

What inspires you to make music?

It's the only thing we've ever felt right doing.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Treat others as you’d like to be treated. Treat yourself as you’d treat the love of your life. Do something which makes the world a brighter place and remember we’re all in this together and nobody will get out alive.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Free at last

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

A musician’s reality in 2019 is to not be discouraged by what others tell you and understand that the music industry is what you make of it. There’s more accountability and digital paper trails for days. The only things holding a musician back in 2019 is positivity, patience, the spirit of progress, effort, and inability to distinguish the industry as a business as much as it is a passion. Passion can still be present while attempting to make a career out of what you hold dear. Although, there is over-saturation, there is also more mediums for success. Cream floats to the top, as it always has, but now it’s much more about how willing you are to be the very best. Don't Give Up.

What do you think of Drooble?

Drooble is a long time coming.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Impatience, unprofessionalism, cynicism, negativity, and poor work ethic. The naysayers always claim that success as a musician is virtually impossible, yet are the first to give up when faced with any semblance of a roadblock. You must at times reverse engineer your dreams and understand that overnight success takes much longer than one night. Evolution is a must and progress is key. You must be dedicated, hard working, critically thinking, and willing to both compromise and think outside of the box. Pessimism is anybody's worst friend, overwhelming optimism is the slow road to pessimism. It is time to view the glass as half. Not full or empty, but rather could be better or worse and that power is in your hands.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

We do. We watch our friends and our community's scene and praise people who make the scene a better place. We don't consider our local scene to be one state or county, however. Our local scene is global and we support those who do great things wherever they do great things.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

The ability to evolve Good work ethic Patience Strong administrative, clerical, and accounting skills Good songwriting Desire to improve Pragmatism Realism Logic and Intuition Empathy Positivity Altruism Strong social skills Good management skills
