The Edit

Story

Formed in London in 2012, The Edit are a guitar led rock band delivering pounding rhythms and searing guitar solos intertwined with melody, harmony, and lyrics exploring the challenges of modern life. With diverse personal backgrounds, and musical influences from Led Zeppelin, Queens Of The Stone Age, and Foo Fighters through Red Hot Chilli Peppers and beyond, The Edit offer a new take on the rock genre. Having released their debut album, Tales Of Pistachio Dave, in 2014, the band played live extensively through 2015 and 2016 but a change of personnel on bass in 2018 led to a new drive, and focus that quickly became the foundations of the follow up album, Anywhere But Here, recorded in the summer of 2019. The first single from the album, Miss Understood, was released in November 2019, receiving radio airplay in Brazil (89 FM A Rádio Rock - London Calling), followed by Memories Will Never Die, released in December 2019. January 2020 saw the third single, Free Fall, hit digital stores worldwide, with the 4th single, One Day Soon, released in February, also receiving radio airplay in Brazil (89FM A Rádio Rock - London Calling). Moving In Two Directions, was released on February 28th, and the final single from the album, Disclosure, was released on 20th March, also receiving radio airplay (89FM A Rádio Rock - London Calling). 10th April 2020 saw the "Anywhere But Here" album release, followed by the music video for the title track on the 13th April.
