Before they were The Ascendants, Shankari and Kesheva lived parallel lives. They both loved funk, indie rock, dance tunes and hip hop and performed in similar bands. They had spiritual awakenings, which led them to yoga, which led them to living at an ashram. There, they became The Ascendants. Over time, they fused their talents with their spirituality. They drew upon the ashram’s teachings, and Virgo Meets Libra was conceived. Their style of music is a fusion of techno trance with overtones of mystical vibes. This music, when merged with Bhakti incantations, yields a state of bliss not experienced before.
