The husband and wife songwriting team, Tempa & Naor just released their new album, Ember’s Fire November 10th, 2018. This duo has crafted a powerful, compelling, all-original work touching on themes of transformation, love, loss, and release in the Singer-Songwriter, Americana and Adult Alternative genres of music. This new album of 10 years in the making shares the most intimate journey of Tempa & Naor with their heart open for the world to see. The album brings up and deals with emotions and issues relevant to today's women empowerment movements. Whether performing as a duo or integrating the supportive musical talent of a larger group, this magnetic couple infuses each song with an affectionate resonance that carries and sustains the listener along a journey. Tempa’s searing and soulful voice is something to be felt and heard. You will feel it when she sings it! With more than 30 years of professional experience, Tempa knows how to entertain her audience and crafts powerful songs. Tempa started a Blues band (Tempa and the Tantrums) in Colorado, 2000-2012 Voted “Best Blues Band”, & “Best Jam” in Colorado (released 3 albums). Tempa has shared the stage with BB King, Mavis Staples, Koko Taylor, Tab Benoit, Jimmy Thackery, Bernard Allison, Luther Allison, Lonnie Brooks, Jeff Beck, and many others. Tempa has played Red Rocks, Colorado to the Sea Of Galilee, and always gives her audience a music experience they never forget. There’s a beautifully restrained subtlety of passion and togetherness in Naor’s fine acoustic guitar work, vocals, and music arrangements. The Israeli born songwriter, Naor Nave has more than 20 years experience in crafting songs, singing and playing guitar. Naor met Tempa at her Jam in 2007 in Denver Colorado, where they fell in love, and he joined the Tantrums. Tempa and Naor moved to Maui in 2012, and started a 10 piece ZydecoSoul band called “Soul Kitchen” which Won Maui Time, “Best Band on Maui 2017”. Soul Kitchen will be releasing “Live At Charley’s“ album soon! Tempa and Naor will be back on Maui in April 2019 for 3 shows with Soul Kitchen! Tempa & Naor Moved to Oregon at the beginning of 2019 and are currently writing their second album. They will be starting their grassroots “Living Room Tour” in February 2019. They firmly believe that “Music Is Medicine “ and will continue to create joy & healing.. One song at a time...

Too many to name, so we’ll just name some artists we love! Nina Simone, Bessie Smith, Robert Johnson, Waylon Jennings, Patsy Cline, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner,Joni Mitchell..

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Music Co Ops. Affordable housing for artists. More grass roots tours together. Remembering that a smaller base of people who really love you is more important than fame, and more attainable. It can also lead to a more sustainable music career.

What do you think of Drooble?

So far, we are lovin’ it! New to the Droob.. ;) Loving the supportive vibe and the conversations.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Wanting to make a living doing what we love, because we work so very hard as musicians and songwriters.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Pay the cover charge! Musicians work hard, and need to be paid fairly. We don’t ask to be put on a guest list. Host house concerts for touring and local musicians ?

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Be authentic.
