Mike Shields, better known by his stage name Tash Hagz, is an English singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. Born: 31 January 1971 (age 48), Reading, Berkshire, UK Genres: Alternative Rock, Indie Rock, Classic Rock, Folk, Experimental, Electronic, Jazz. Playing in a variety of local blues, indie and progressive rock bands in England between the last 1980s and the late 2000s, Shields wrote and produced hundreds of LO-FI home demos whilst pursuing a non-music related career. In the early 2010s, he relocated to the West Midlands and built his own home recording studio. In 2014, he prepared for his first commercial single release, having received encouragement from a number of independent record producers. He worked with one of with Bob Dylan’s sound engineers to finalise the mix but pulled its release at the last minute claiming it was due to ’artist differences between me and myself’. In 2019 he is set to release his first commercial project, Sequence Of Chance. This is an audio and visual experience delivered daily via email. Fans receive a sequence of tracks, stories and videos, personalised via computer algorithms, based on which links they clicked in the email sequence. Ten tracks have been formulated into his debut album release called Sorry We’re Cloned!
