Story

A Little About Myself: From the tender age of 4, my father recognized my talent of singing and bought me my first microphone. The only thing was I absolutely terrified of was hearing my voice. I was fine with singing in the comfort of my home with my parents and brother as the audience but when it came to singing at church, I would run off the podium mortified and in tears… Fast-Forward 26 years... After many years of music and singing experience, I decided to answer God's call on my life to pursue The Bachelor's In Sacred Music Degree at Canada Christian College. About the Song: I Will Trust In You “I Will Trust in You” originally started out as a class assignment in Songwriting II: Write a Song on A Psalm. This song was inspired from the many changes and challenges I was experiencing during that period of time. The song first started out where I kept singing, “I will trust in you, oh Lord” prior to the assignment being given which was a comfort to me. Then following afterwards, while at work, I started to hum out a tune and immediately recorded it. After searching through Psalms, I revisited one of my favorite verse in Psalm 4, “I will both lay me down in peace and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.” –verse 8. Then I read the whole chapter and immediately was moved to write the song. It was exactly what I needed for encouragement and strength. And so I wrote. So, my only hope is that this song would be just as encouraging and meaningful for anyone who listens to it as it has been for me.
