Hello, I realised I hadn't logged into this this thing for a couple years, a lot has happened in the world since, I am now in beautiful Dresden, Germany, and am keen to meet like minded folk to talk musics, and maybe come together musically. It's been too long, right?
Not too sound cheesy, but it's all about a feeling really. I've had tremendous highs playing music, when everything is in the pocket, and you just have such a great euphoria surge through your body, but at the same time, it is about who you play it with, it's like a marriage, a relationship, and sometimes music can leave you feeling empty, as in, sometimes I feel i'm not doing enough to describe what I am as a musician, and have trouble communicating actually WHAT I'm trying to say (if anything)
To write, record and produce my own material, as I have mainly been a lyric writer, drummer, singer for other bands, it's interesting what my limitations are as I've got a shit ton of 'bits'- which I am assembling together, and it is an interesting experiment,at least.
We will rock you - Queen, whilst spinning around in a spinny chair aged around 6
grew up on a combo of British rock, then discovered ska, hip-hop, reggae, soul and funk when I turned 16. Got into 1,2,3,4 punk in my early 20s, which developed to everything DC/Chicago/New York (think Fugazi/Jesus Lizard/Sonic Youth) and now it's just a mish-mash of all of it!
watching and feeling others enthusiasm for music (very catching!)
Honesty, no bullshit.
where I should be
Well maybe as everything is sooo accessible, it's too easy for any munchkin to say 'they know that band' in a twenty second clip. I can say that first Ramones tape, was very worn, however I didn't like all the tunes, but you just persevered with what you had, and grew to love all of it.
Seems like a good idea
fakers
I would like to, more.
