What is music to you? What does it give you?

At it's core, music connects me with my soul. Whether it be cover songs or songs I've written, music allows me to communicate with an audience who I am and what I feel or felt at any given point in my life. Great music is timeless and relatable to more people.

What is your music dream?

To perform the music that I truly love. I am a singer at heart, so I strive to be as well rounded a vocalist as I can be. I want an audience to appreciate what they are hearing when they listen to me.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Eliminate the hate. If we simply loved one another, which isn't that hard to do, this world would be so peaceful.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

The Prayer. In high school a student younger than me was killed in an accident. For her funeral, our Vocal Jazz group sang "The Prayer" because she loved Choir and this song. It was so emotional and this song affects me to this day.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Possibilities are still endless if you have the drive to achieve what you set out to achieve. Like with any profession, you have to incorporate some business strategy to make being a full-time musician a success.

What do you think of Drooble?

I've just started but am excited to see how Drooble can help me connect with local professionals.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Self care and patience. Playing guitar and singing for hours every day is taxing on the body. Being able to be patient and incorporate self care into my life and letting things happen organically.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Given that I'm new to the area, and the music business, I am excited about immersing myself into the local scene.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

#1 will always be talent. This will always stand out and make more people want to work with you. Musicians need to be business savvy but also easy to work with (being a good person). Talent will always be dealt with, regardless of their personality, but it makes like a lot easier if you are respectable to Agents, Bookers, Managers, Fans, etc.
