What is music to you? What does it give you?

The universe is made up of energy. This energy pulsates at a specific frequency. We humans pulsate at a frequency. Music pulsates with us and gives us rhythm. Chords for tensions and gives, harmony speaks emotion into existence out of thin air. Music means to move with all creation.

What is your music dream?

My music dream is to start a bluegrass band with my family. We've finally recorded our first song (check my profile), we're starting to perform live for people. Catch us on this journey!

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I would let everybody know that change is brought on by people's actions, not by the spreading of their opinions.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

I have so many favorites. It's hard to pick one because I loved to switch things up a lot, but if I had to narrow it down, it would be "Diary on Jane" by Breaking Benjamin. Always have and always will love that song.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Silent Planet, Breaking Benjamin, RED, Decyfer Down, Thousand Foot Krutch, Three Days Grace, Flyleaf/Lacey Sturm, Ten Years

What inspires you to make music?

My Christianity, my family, my pain, and others' pain. Recently, I've had the honor of spending some spiritual time with children who have had to face terminal illnesses. My latest songwriting has revolved around them.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

That there is a God who loves you; a God who will never leave you; a God while never forsake you.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Like I never want to leave that exact moment!

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

The musicians' reality is that we are all being drowned out by people who just spam their music and never actually form community. That's what I love about Drooble, the community here is so awesome!

What do you think of Drooble?

This is my new favorite thing. See above question.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Not being able to message people easily to ask about potential opportunities because they get so much low-quality spam from 'artists.'

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Oh yeah, we love attending shows at the churches, festivals, and jam sessions in our area!

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Quality. You have to know what you're doing and how to make it look professional. You can't take a picture of yourself, slap some random Microsoft font on it and call it an album cover. Same goes for music, you can't record a cruddy sounding guitar on a cell phone mic and expect it to sound anything like a quality recording. You can't even record good guitar on a cell phone mic and expect it to sound professional.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

You're going want to check out artists like Silent Planet, Greyhaven, Halcyon Wander, Reverie, Cliffside, Lost Dogs Found, Sinners Bench, and Dayseeker.
