It's a physical thing... To me, there is nothing better than a rounded sonic representation of an emotion. Well balanced sub-frequencies, with a noisey top end, and a vocal that has 16 layers. It feels good to listen to it.

Usually a single line that pops into my head at a random time - or just sometimes it feels like it's "time" to write a song.
I think I'd like to bring some more serious and deliberate substance to the current dialog we are having as a country, and as a global civilization. Sort of a big megaphone to say "hey, can we all agree on something?" I don't know - I suppose it just comes down to a message of hope.
It's a feeling of deep connection - never to be reproduced through any phone, camera, or recording. There's something so palpable and real about the moment you step on stage, and there are people there, waiting to hear you. It's sacred.

Musicians are a dime a dozen...and the industry KNOWS it. So, it's very hard to do this, and not have a survival job. I'm looking to change that.
Yes, I go out to local shows, and attend songwriting events. As a full-time producer/engineer, it is challenging to go to shows, when I'm planning on building my own shows, and helping others write and produce their own projects.
Must know business - strategy - timing for a release - people skills - phone skills - social media - graphic design ... ..as GaryVee from NYC says - you have to be your own media company...
