Indie rock band, fronted by critically acclaimed international award winning songwriter Stephen Connor. Versonic present shades of nostalgic, yet refreshing early 90’s Britpop with a twist. The Versonic sound has been described as "A lush pop rock experience with the kind of appeal that crosses national boundaries, and genres, to render an experience with global reach".
Music to me is everything. As a Songwriter, music provides me with a cathartic release to get my thoughts, ideas and creative energy flowing. I love the creative process of bringing a song idea to life from a very basic acoustic demo through to fully produced track. To then experience the buzz of performing these songs live with a full on rock guitar band has made a lifelong dream come true.
Success in the music business is relative to how you define success in your own mind. To some it might mean to sell out Wembley Stadium, but to me it means standing on a stage in a live music venue however big or small, and playing my music with my mates in a rock 'n' roll band. That's my dream.
End poverty.
T-Rex 20th Century Boy
Oasis. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
I am inspired to make music every time I see someone with a guitar.
Everything will be alright in the end.
Nervous elation.
More live music venues to perform in. More of a level playing field when it comes to mainstream radio airplay. Unless you are signed to a major label and/or have the luxury of a radio plugger the reality is that you will get nowhere.
I have only recently discovered Drooble, but from what I have seen so far it is a great platform for sharing music and getting good honest feedback, as well as discovering lots of like-minded bands and artists and music lovers.
I wish I could play my guitar better. I don't write or play anything with a B chord in it.
I go to lot of gigs and champion a lot of the young upcoming indie bands that I know and share their journey on social media.
A very thick skin and resilience to indifference. You have to make a lot of noise to get heard nowadays, and never give up trying. A lot of young musicians fall at the first hurdle because their expectations have been too high, or they have been badly advised.
Too many to choose from.
