SoSlam is a small non-profit community collective made up of a group of local musicians. SoSlam aims to provide music promotion, management, advice and opportunities to local musicians and bands in the Southend-on-Sea area. Everything we do we do under the SoSlam name is on a voluntary basis. We work with local musicians of all ages, musical genres and experience. We help link musicians together and work with event coordinators, festival organisers, private hires, pubs, restaurants and student unions to provide them with the right fit for their event and function. We also link with other local promoters and music businesses. In 2016 we started our very own micro digital label with 100% of sales going directly to the musicians.
