The project is the musical love child of rock songstress and modern Pagan Soda Lee who lost her voice completely for ten years to a rare vocal condition, being told even after delicate surgery, her vocal ability would never return. Against all odds, cancer fears, and failed vocal therapy, armed with a rebel heart and an unrivalled attitude of determination, she set out to prove the medical profession wrong. With a five year plan in mind, and hours daily of intense home vocal work, she retrained her own ability to sing, and wasted no time in writing and recording this impressive debut production. SPELLBOUND is the result of that personal ‘mountain to climb’. Played by some of West Australia’s finest, and specifically chosen hard rock musicians, the album was constructed and recorded over a 15 month period at the elite Soundbaker Studios in Perth, and mastered at the famous Abbey Rd Studios in London.
