My bio

Jimmy Humbucker is a singer-songwriter from Oakville Ontario. His sound is a unique mix of folk, singer/songwriter-style and alternative/pop-punk rock. Jimmy has a diverse range of influences, from City and Colour to late-career Green Day. Jimmy has been writing and recording for the last 10 years. He started writing professionally in 2010 and started by playing at several open mics in Oakville, Mississauga, Toronto, and the surrounding area. Jimmy is a registered member of SOCAN as well as Nashville Songwriters Association (NSAI). Early in his career, Jimmy was invited to play with the NSAI Toronto chapter at Tin Pan North Festival for songwriters of the organization. He has also worked in several home studios over the last 10 years - recording demos of his work. Most recently, Jimmy released two EP's - ¡Little One! and La Nińa, within the span of one year. The EPs are made up of all the music he has written in his career thus far. Jimmy has also had the chance to play his first two shows in the Toronto music scene in recent months, to support the release of La Niña. These shows were two gigs in November 2018 at The Supermarket and The Boat in Kensington Market. He is also played as far as Waterloo, Ontario. He continues his career in 2019 with his brand-new website and hopes to play at this summer Canadian Music Week. ¡Little One and La Niña are available on all popular music streaming service platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, Amazon music, Bandcamp and more.
