Sheila And The Caddo Kats “Performing Songs That You Can Sing Along With!” Sheila has performed at Two CMA Festivals in Nashville at the Famous Nashville Palace, and has won the award, “JMA's 2018 Entertainer of the Year”. Sheila And The Caddo Kats, is an award winning “Acoustic Variety” band with a nostalgic flavor, that takes their audience back to a simpler time when music relayed the good feelings of being alive. On any given night, audiences can be seen swaying and singing along to the sounds of they're favorite songs







What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is a transparent canvas where musicians are able to communicate and relay, feelings from inside themselves (through their talent) to their listeners.

What is your music dream?

A music dream is a fantastic feeling from, "Swimming In A Sea Of Tone". Of course to the answer of, "What is your music dream?" It is to be as successful as your talent allows you to be. To keep reaching to achieve the goals you set forth for yourself. Whether it is to be a superstar, or to let your song touch one person in your listening audience. That is what my music dream is to me.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

If I could change the world, it would start as a campaign to enlighten the people living in the world to come together in peace and harmony with music. Their is no language barrier, no color, or Nationality with music. Music is to be heard and listened too, as it fills your heart and soul with emotion.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

As I grew up singing in my local church choir, "Amazing Grace" always comes to the top of the list.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

My favorite musical artists and mentors are: Loretta Lynn, Etta James, and Stevie Nicks.

What inspires you to make music?

You ask, "What inspires me to Make Music", Music is inside of me. My soul is not happy unless I am able to be a part of music in some way.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

The message that I send with my music is that this is a listeners personal feeling. One set of ears my not be the interpretation of another set of ears. Music is personal to the listener.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

When I perform for an audience (be it one or one thousand) every person took time from their life to be a part of my performance as a listener. When there is appreciation from the listeners it brings a joy to me, like hitting the refresh button in my soul.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

As I become a listener, I would like to convey to other artists not to concentrate on a monetary sense of success. Every song that takes talent to produce, has a place in the hearts of many. Be satisfied that your song is a success especially if you have been able to record your song to be shared with others.

What do you think of Drooble?

So far, I am pleased with Drooble.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

The most frustrating part about being a musician, is the fact that most Venues assume that if you are a musician, you should give your talent away to perform for free! Many of our musical aquatints seem to be caught up in this.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

We always support "Live Music".

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

It is the same as always, Be a good person, and good things will come your way.
