Story

The name of our project is Chutes n’ Leaves. We hope to record our debut album in the next year or two. A lot of songs are funny ala the ODDS. But we also have a heavy blues rock and a bit of s grungy vibe as well. We don’t get to rehearse as much as we would like as we work shift work. That’s part of the reason that we don’t have a rhythm guitarist. Which is unfortunate because if we had one; it’d free me up to play lead; sing etc

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is my life and my passion. I love Rock; blues; alternative (grunge); blues rock. And some metal( aka Metallica ). I have a strong distaste for country and top 40. I don’t respect auto tune artists.

What is your music dream?

To be able to earn enough money playing music to quit my day job. As unlikely as that is.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I’d rid it of fake auto tune garbage.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

How can I pick just one. Queens Greatest hits Album. Joan Jett’s I love Rock n’ Roll. AC/DC’s Dirty Deeds album.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

AC/DC, Alice In Chains, Guns n’ Roses , Metallica, Halestorm, B.B. King, Johnny Lang, Muddy Waters.

What inspires you to make music?

It’s the most “in the moment “ feeling I ever have. It eleviates my worries and troubles. Whatever I’m feeling comes out in my playing.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Humour, Passion, Agression; fight for what’s right and just.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Nervous but also excited

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

No talent hacks have taken over. The entire industry needs an overhaul. True artists get screwed over while the pretty but talentless make all the coin. It’s a sad state of affairs.

What do you think of Drooble?

Don’t know yet. Just joined

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Crap artists getting to make music for a living while hard working honest musicians get nowhere

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

There isn’t much of a scene; live venues here are all but dead.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Passion, Talent and humour

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.
