Psychotic Dreams

Electronic musical project based in Voronezh, Russia. Initially I wished to create music that is searching for new music theory but seriously it was very hard to listen to. Then I decided to do any experiments but seriously it was banal darkwave/industrial/ambient. Now I'm experimenting with creating my own vst-plugins. Music became closer to IDM or something like that. I'm interested to try myself in pop-music or interesting music that is neither abstract nor electronic (I can do abstract electronic music by myself). And also I'll be happy to find musicians who play live instruments and want to collaborate with my IDM project... What is music to you? What does it give you?

I can say it is my hobby but I'd prefer to make it the main activity in my life.

What is your music dream?

To create something really interesting. For example, to write AI that will create really beautiful music but based not on our human rules but on his own. Or to write electronic opera. But I came to Drooble to become closer to earth...

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

with development of medicine and education. and ethical education also

Deine Lakaien, 65daysofstatic, Amon Tobin, Diary of Dreams, After Forever, Blind Guardian...

What inspires you to make music?

Listening to another music. Initially it was gothic ethereal, later it was more often progressive rock and jazz, now I prefer experimental electronic music

What is the message you want to send with your music?

I have some messages but I'm not able to create music that sends it now. Signing in I wish to create music that will unite me with another cultures and also with another musical genres

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

It's cool

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Ouch... good question. It is very difficult to create something really new and beautiful. People tried eveything that a young musician may do by himself, so a musician may only try to repeat previous achievements or to do something unique but ugly... If a musician finds his own unique style and sound and his music is beautiful at the same time - he is a genie, sure!

What do you think of Drooble?

Good place for talking with other musicians. But I wish more effective collabs ;-)

What frustrates you most as a musician?

I can't find any idea in the most part of music and also in the most part of modern art in general

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I go to concerts and sometimes buy CDs but don't listen to them 'cause internet is better nowadays

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Ability to communicate with useful people. I haven't but I know people who has this ability and people go to their concerts and listen to their music and also soon their music becomes better. So it is very important
