Sarah McGowan

Story

After landing synch placements on TV shows like NBC’s Superstore and receiving praise from publications such as The Huffington Post, Sarah McGowan is excited to release her triumphant new song, “Warrior”. The single, set to be released on April 2nd, has already been acclaimed as the next Top 40 hit from HitPredictor. Of this song, Sarah says she hopes it will bring strength and comfort to anyone struggling with the emotional impact of the pandemic. Sarah wrote the song on a particularly dark day last summer: “I found myself in a bad place, and instead of crying, I decided to write this song to remind myself to keep moving forward. I hope it will inspire others to stay strong too.” A prolific songwriter, Sarah has released two EPs (Indian Summer, A Little Intimate) and a full length album (For Whom They Sing). Her music quickly earned her praise, with Medleyville.us writing that her debut album was “on par with recent efforts by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson” and NPR’s 51 Percent podcast comparing her songwriting prowess to Dolly Parton’s. Also active in synch licensing, Sarah has worked with companies like APM Music and BMG Australia. Sarah’s songs have been featured in media such as HGTV’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Netflix’s Cable Girls, and sports networks such as Fox Sports, MLB Network, and the WWE. A native of the New York City area, she currently resides in Los Angeles.
