Music is how I express myself. It gives me catharsis.
Really to find my tribe and be in touch with people who appreciate my music.
Making sure no human being is without food, clothing, shelter, and medicine/healthcare.

Hum, Beck, Beastie Boys, Linkin Park, Primus, Metallica, Run DMC, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Wu Tang Clan
My mood, really. But generally, if I experience good art, be it a painting, a song, a sculpture, a movie, a literary piece, a speech, if it speaks to me, it makes me want to create.
Be yourself, knock down boundaries, and find your voice.
Nervous, excited, energized.
It seems like now it's not realistic to sell your music, so, it seems like it is about personal branding, and then selling various products from your personal brand. Since the music content is basically free, get people to like it, and then if they do, you can sell them a coffee mug with your branded logo on it. That's what it seems like it is, these days. But that is purely the commerce perspective of it. Like I said, my interest is really just trying to find my tribe, and connect with folks who connect with my music. If this site can do that, then that is truly my dream come true, and I believe that is a major improvement for beginner DIY artists like myself.
So far, it's fun. Honestly, a little skeptical, simply because I'm afraid my content will be pushed to the bottom, and I might not have the time or resources to float it higher.
All my online content gets pushed to the bottom and not many people get to experience it.
Yes, I go out and see shows. Generally when I do, I usually buy some merch.
To get heard by a larger audience, I would imagine, means networking. As much face-time and in-person stuff as possible.
