Samantha Gibb

Story

Here’s a little bit about Sam…: ) She was born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida. Growing up she spent a lot of time in England as well as traveling and touring with her father and family. "I grew up in and around music my whole life". Her father, Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees, was a huge influence on her and her music. She's always said, “Growing up watching my father and my uncles really set the bar for what kind of musician and songwriter I wanted to be”. The first recordings she did with him were released under the name Luna Park in 2000. "I got the privilege of working with my dad up until he passed away in 2003". In 2004, her music partner, Lazaro Rodriguez and she decided to start M.E.G. Productions, M.E.G. being an acronym for Maurice Ernest Gibb). Later that year, she released her 2nd album- M.E.G. “The Samantha Gibb Project”. By 2007, she decided to move to Nashville with her band. Upon her arrival, she began to work on a music documentary called “A Nashville State of Mind”. The film was inspired by he band's move to Nashville and the incredible musicians and talent they encountered there. The film got into over 15 film festivals and won best international music doc in 2008 at the LA/NY International film and music festival. In 2010 Sam and her band crossed the pond for their first UK tour to promote their album "Wrong Side". They also hit up the US East Coast for an acoustic tour later that year. In February, 2012, she got the opportunity to sing at the Hard Rock Live in Ft. Lauderdale, FL with her Uncle, Barry Gibb, for his first solo concert in the US. With great success from the show she continued to tour with him on his Mythology tour performing in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland and North America until 2014. In the beginning of 2015, she sang with him once more for the Miami Beach Centennial show in Miami Beach, FL. In 2016 she began to work on a tribute album for her father and uncles (Robin Gibb, Barry Gibb, and Andy Gibb) called The Gibb Collective with the title “Please Don’t Turn Out the Lights”. The album brought together some family including the eldest children of Barry, Maurice, Robin, and Andy. The album included covers of their music with a different style and new flavor. The album was released in 2017 for Fathers Day. In 2019, Samantha and Lazaro decided to start M.E.G. Media and M.E.G. Records where they currently release music and videos independently as well as create media content for other artists, and musicians. In July of 2021 she released her single "Spiraling" which she co-wrote with Lazaro and award winning songwriter Kyle Jacobs and her most recently released her holiday song "Christmas in a Small Town" now available everywhere. www.samanthagibb.com www.facebook.com/SamanthaGibb www.wearemegmedia.com www.facebook.com/GibbCollective
