The problem with middle-aged cover band guitarists is one of supply and demand: there is only supply and alas, I am part of the problem. Current gig-ready repertoire includes assorted tunes by AC/DC, Rush, Pink Floyd, U2, Volbeat, and other assorted bands. I have a longer set of tunes that I wouldn't claim gig-ready for a few details, which would be easy enough to resolve. I'm a reasonably literate music-reader, not tab-dependent, have a sound if rusty foundation in music theory (studied under the great John Elliott back in the day), and enjoy a wide variety of genres though I gravitate to the hard rock/heavy metal/prog rock end of the pool, with a smattering of punk for fun.
