Rock Syndicate

About the Label

Back in 2008, after spending years working in the small business and internet marketing sector, Rock Syndicate founder Keith Boisvert took the then fledgling company Vero Concepts and turned it’s focus to the independent rock and metal scene. Working on design and marketing for people like David Hull(bassist for Joe Perry and part time Aerosmith bassist) and Barry Goudreau (formally of the band Boston) Vero Concepts grew rapidly. Over time this developed into some amazing relationships with bands of all sizes from all over the country, and it also exposed a need in the rock and metal scene for promotion. Over time Keith and Vero Concepts began getting into internet radio and helping bands get their music heard. He started his second rock/metal station with then partner Melissa Beaudet and formed Xtreme Alchemy radio back in 2013. XAR is still alive today, run by Melissa and Nate Morneault, with Keith/Vero helping out as station manager and design. The one constant throughout all the years has been Keith’s desire to help small bands make it big. Even though his branding, design, marketing and even the radio station was helping, he wanted to do more. This brings us to the formation of Rock Syndicate Records! Rock Syndicate was formed in February of 2018 (less than a week old as of this writing) as the final piece of the puzzle when it comes to helping bands. Having heard too many stories about bands having to pay absurd fees just to be “part” of a label and then continually having to spend thousands more on a regular basis to continue getting any form of benefits, Rock Syndicate intends to help end that horrible cycle! “How is Rock Syndicate different and what can they do for me?”….Well to begin with we won’t charge you your first born child! For us it’s all about relationships and investment. For a band to trust a label it requires trust, and we believe that it works both ways and the only way to accomplish that is to form a strong relationship with each band. We put the same amount of effort into every band regardless of size, and we are only successful when our bands achieve their goals. In the services department we work with bands to ensure: They are properly branded, we handle all graphic design needs (if needed), work with the band to manufacture and sell all merchandise from CD’s to apparel, we have partnered with recording studios to assist in the recording/mastering process, we actively promote and push our bands for airplay across FM and internet radio stations world wide, we schedule interviews and podcast plays, we work with bands to help get sponsorship’s and endorsements, we have also have in-house management services available. This is just the beginning of what will be a very long list! We are currently actively working on handling physical distribution channels to compliment the digital side of things. This is a long process, but we plan to have contracts set up soon! Overall we are in it for the bands. Yes, we are a business and we need to make money as well, but with our business model we have skin in the game just like our bands. If they don’t make money, we don’t either and we even lose money…so how’s that for being totally different?! We will not be taking every single band that submits into the label. However, with all of our services we can certainly help in some capacity just about every unsigned rock and metal band out there! Just ask and we can custom tailor any one or all of our services to help fulfill a bands needs. Keith Boisvert, Founder, Rock Syndicate Records
