Roleki is an amalgam of my full formal name: Robert Lee Kitt (the 1st two letters of each) and it represents my autonomous approach to writing/recording music. In the late 80's & early 90's, I was involved with two "hair metal" bands, Blue Maxx & Renegade (in which I played bass, vocals, keyboards). Both those endeavors eventually ran their course. I currently work as a college Instructor but I still hold onto the hope of one day promoting & touring in support of my music again either as a soloist or if I'm lucky enough finding some great like-minded musicians to collaborate with. I wrote & performed all the music I've posted here except for "Defense Mechanism" (in which all the drums were recorded with drummer, Rob Reagan). Classic Rock/Prog Rock are probably my most influential styles ie; Styx, Kansas, RUSH, Zeppelin, Yes & Pink Floyd as well as bands like Porcupine Tree, RPWL, Riverside & Opeth. Although, these groups are among my strongest influences - I've composed & recorded instrumentals in the vein of New Age & even Techno/Dance.
