Story

I began playing piano when I was just this side of peach fuzz. When I was in 5th grade I terrorized poor Mrs. Knight with a 17-minute piano version of "Inagadadavida". She resigned after that year and was replaced by another music teacher whom we terrorized equally. Played in my first real band in 1980 or 81' and I was studying classical piano at UTEP. It was there that I discovered the synthesizer-an ARP 2600 to be exact. Punk rock was in it's infancy back then as well as new wave. My early bands were hybrid punk/new wave with my twin brother on the guitar. He is the one who taught me how to play led synthesizer like a guitar as I often do still. I moved to Austin, Tx . Unlike many bands who took the leap only to return home with their tail between their legs, I managed to find a group of guys who were determined to succeed. And we did, winning the Austin Chronicle Music Polls Best Funk Band in 1993 and 1994. We were offered a record deal with Geffen Records and for reasons unknown, the drummer and bass player decided to pass and that was history. Now I am ZNO ELECTRO OUTLAW.
