What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music brings me piece of mind. In this crazy world, music is my respite, distracting me into a world of my own

What is your music dream?

To jam with other musicians of all genres from countries around the world. Bring peace through music

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I wish I had a magic wand that would eliminate hate.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Not sure how childhood is defined here, but I loved how my father sang Mills Brother songs. Today I continue to appreciate the songs of the 1940's.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

The Band, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Danny Gatton (greatest guitarist ever) , Duke Robillard, Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin, Joe Cocker, The Persuasions, The Doors, Jimi Hendricks, the list goes on

What inspires you to make music?

The immersion into playing and blocking out all the bad things in the world

What is the message you want to send with your music?

I want people to THINK. I want people to be independent and individual. Some twitter or FB slogan should not become your mantra du jour

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Thrilled!!!! I have embellished songs during performances that seem to come from another plane. Anyone else feel that?

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I truly love the unique songs played here on Drooble. I am mostly unimpressed with performances on main stream outlets

What do you think of Drooble?

I love the Drooble platform. It is truly the indie outlet for the world.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

The ability to find the people who enjoy truly independent music. I remember being allowed to listen to some aboriginals from Papua New Guinea who created a sound that was mesmerizing, yet so different from the rhythms I had been exposed to.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I live in a rural area with limited local scene. We do have a coffee shop that streams live performances .

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Good rhythm, good lyrics

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Danny Gatton (known as the Humbler - for good reasons) Miles Pierce from the Charlottesville area. Arlon Roth
