Story

I'm from Chelmsford, Essex England and I have been writing/performing my own material, for more years than I care to remember. I love most music though my favourite genres are Rock, pop, and popsynth. I record all my material in my home project studio, "absic.rocks" and have written/co-written well over 125 songs, many of which can be found on various online streaming music services. What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is life. It gives me reason and a place to go to when I want to reflect on or share my experiences.

What is your music dream?

I'm living it.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I would start with me.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

You were made for me by Freddie and the Dreamers I also loved the b-side which was called: Send A Letter To Me.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

I have a wide range of artists and bands that I enjoy but I always go back to: Status Quo, MeatLoaf, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Marillion, Cat Stevens.

What inspires you to make music?

Myself, my family and the world I see and hear.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

I love it!

What do you think of Drooble?

A fantastic platform that allows you to meet, work and discuss musical ideas with musicians you probably wouldn't meet otherwise.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

The fact that I have to do a full-time job to allow me the financial resources to be able to record/perform.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I try my best to support local bans/artists by going to gigs and sharing things for them on social media.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Open mindedness. Be prepared to explore and exploit all potential avenues to get your music out there and listened to.
