Music is all about the emotion for me. It doesn't have to say anything profound but it helps. I like lyrics that are poetic and philosophical about the human condition.
To find time to gig again some day
Outlaw wealth
Oh You Pretty Things
Kate Bush for a long time, Joni Mitchell and Dylan as a staple and David Bowie when I'm in a certain mood
Getting away from the grind
That life is a strange adventure
It really depends. I have had some astonishingly good feelings on stage when you connect with the audience. I've also had nights where it all felt like a bad idea.
Musicians have all the tools at their fingertips these days to control most everything but there are still a lot of gate-keepers deciding who ultimately gets heard unfortunately.
So far, so good
Finding time to practice and play
Still seeing new acts when I can
A great, distinctive voice and the ability to enthuse others
