I am the alias of another Drooble artist here. I produce instrumental grooves inspired by 70s soul, jazz and funk. I'm also on Spotify under the same name.
Music is the canvas which allows for my inner child to express himself through sound, which is the paintbrush.
To become recognized as an instrumental producer, even if it's only for background theme music for a film or podcast. As my name suggests, I'm not looking for fame or mass appeal. I'm too introverted for that !
Human consciousness. That's where it all starts.
The theme to the 'Fat Albert' cartoon. It awakened my child mind to how funky music could actually be.
I can't pick certain artists. I've been inspired by music styles like: 70s funk, 80s hip-hop, electro bossa nova, acid-jazz and nujazz, and some neo-soul.
All the music styles I just mentioned, and the vibe they carry.
Chill out and enjoy life sometimes. Don't take it so seriously all the time. Even though my music is instrumental, I want listeners to feel this.
As my name suggests, I don't perform in front of an audience. I probably never will !
Too many cliques and too much emphasis on social media following. As an introvert, I make music for introverts. It's okay to not worry about followers and subscribers. Forget the numbers. Make music for the kid who stays in his/her room with headphones on most of the time !
So far so good. It's perfect for musical introverts like me.
The online rat-race. Musicians need to embrace music as an art form once again, and stop chasing numbers.
No. Scenes are obsolete, imho.
Put the music first, and make it with sincerity. The rest will follow. Take time away from music when necessary, and lower your expectations, but never give up !
I'd rather share a Spotify playlist that blew my frickin mind... Check out WHAT'S FUNK OR SOUL? by Daniele Guarnera. Thank me later.
