About Me

I've been a musician all my life I suppose. Ever since I can remember, I have had a passion for music. it was the thing that got me going, the reason I got up in the morning. Music is that thing that picks you, not the other way around. I try to be honest in my approach to writing. I strive to be obedient to the inspiration and let the song be what it wants to be. I am a product of my generation. I love classic rock guitar driven music and singer songwriter stuff. I have recorded 6 complete professional CD projects and want to do more, Lol. Hope you hear something you like. Thanks for the support in advance. Q

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is like blood that runs through the veins. It's like air for me. Everyone needs a little music in their lives. I believe that as a musician, it picked me! It was something that I did not choose. It's always been a part of my life.

What is your music dream?

To touch someone with the gift I've been given. The pay off for me is when I get an unexpected letter or email telling me how a song or my music in general has helped them or gotten them through something. Sharing hope through music is the absolute best thing in the world. I am a blessed and fortunate son to be able to do this at any level.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Me... I am a believer that if you want to change the world, start with yours. Michael Jackson said it well in his song. "If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at your self and make a change"

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Too many!!! I'll think on it and come back to this, Lol

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

I love the classic rock bands and songwriters of my generation. Journey, Styx, Dylan, Tom Petty, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Beatles, Eagles, David Bowie. see? too many

What inspires you to make music?

Life

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Hope, love, peace, I sound like a hippie, lol However, a lot of my music addresses an issue of some sort.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

I feel a bit nervous and hope I don't mess it up. Lol... No but I really enjoy having an opportunity to share in front of people.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

everything is a point and click away. Many of the the young artists today can have any lesson in any subject instantly. it’s fantastic that so much is available. the challenge is to push beyond learning the latest skill or lick and become a player of the instrument overall and to push for excellence and not rely on tricks or computer fixes. Don't settle for good enough. Be a creator, a musician authentically. that’s the only way to rise above all the noise.

What do you think of Drooble?

Innovative! Bravo to this platform that gives encouragement to all. I dig it!

What frustrates you most as a musician?

The lack of interest from today's generation. There's so much out there that I'm afraid that sometimes I am just adding to the noise.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Yes, as often as I can without subjecting myself to a room full of smoke and falling down drunk people, lol... I'm actually going to see a jazz band this weekend. I don't even listen tio much Jazz ... on purpose. :-)

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

The real struggle is to be heard over the overwhelming amount of stuff that flies around out there. My one tip would be. Never settle for good enough! Always strive to to be excellent in your delivery. Whatever it is.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Just do the Google, lol
