I started learning electric guitar in January of 2018. Came up with my first "tune" 3 weeks in. I'm having a lot of fun improvising lead parts over backing tracks found on YouTube. So much so that its actually detracting from learning as much as I should. For instance. I still don't know chords yet Back in the 90's , I did take acoustic guitar as a class. But I hated it. It was boring and it hurt. So I quit pretty early on. I was there long enough to learn the G , C, and D chords. But I can't really apply them yet. I'm a guitar god when I'm practicing and by myself. Sit me down in front an audience of one and I cannot perform worth a darn. Maybe one day.
