The Paulo Ró chants.

Between an extensive career dedicated to musical experimentalism, songs and poetry and popular culture, with international presentations and influencing a range of national artists, Paulo Ró demonstrates the continuity of his work, reaffirming the characteristic expression of his musical identity, demonstrating his total creative and renovating capacity. In the presentations made abroad, Paulo Ró has always presented his work of popular culture dissemination, showing rhythms and songs of the wonderful repertoire of the traditional music groups of his state, Paraíba, in addition to his compositions inspired by this universe.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

- I like the traditional music of the world, Africa, India, Brazil, Latin America, Europe and contemporary experimental music, minimalist, free improvisation, atonalism, etc.

What is your music dream?

- See and feel that my music is reaching people's hearts and that this is making them happy.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

- Changing the world today is a very difficult thing, I have worked through art and education so that people perceive this need for change.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

"I have a great passion for Johan Sebastian Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

- I like the traditional music of the world, Africa, India, Brazil, Latin America, Europe and contemporary experimental music; minimalist, free improvisation, atnonalism etc.

What inspires you to make music?

- The life has always inspired my music.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

- Peace and solidarity.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

- I feel like someone who needs to open paths.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

- every day more discredited and devalued, everything is paid, everything is priority, at the time of the musician ......... I think everyone already knows, until Richard Bona already complained on the net, imagine us poor mortals, we need unite us, this is the solution.

What do you think of Drooble?

- I think that this idea is important and creative.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

- see that we need to be equal, that differences are denied by the market

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

- Yes, participating in events like musician or even audience.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

- Creativity, inventiveness
