What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is how I make sense of the world.

What is your music dream?

I don't want to "make it". Don't want to be -rich-famous-celebrity. Would like to make a good enough living to be left alone to get on with it. If I don't, I will still make music. If I do, I will still make music. That's it.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Worst first. e.g. People want to abolish zoos. I agree, wild animals do not belong in captivity. but. If you release them, where the fuck do they go? The world is dying. Leave zoos till the world isn't dying. Can give other examples on request.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Waterloo Sunset by the Kinks. I was youngest of 4 (3 older sisters) and some of my earliest memories were of drifts of 45s lying around. Motown, Apple, Parlaphone, Capitol, Reprise. London was the centre of the universe. Although I didn't understand at the time, Waterloo Sunset was an homage. Honourable mentions to: Something Stupid (Sinatra[s]), Hey Jude (Beatles) Itchycoo Park (Small Faces)

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Bowie, Eno, VU, Beatles, YMO, NEU!, SotL, Beethoven, Vaughan-Williams, Kraftwerk, Japan, Thomas Dolby, Can, Solar Fields, Aphex Twin, William Basinski, Hakobune, Fripp, Faust, Gary Numan, Kate Bush, Puccini, Mavis Staples, Kinks, Nobuo Uematsu, Laurie Anderson, Satoshi Ashikawa, Joy Division/New Order, Jeff van Dyck, Sparks, Hiroshi Yoshimura, Paul Simon, The Damned, John Williams, Peter Gabriel, The Blaze, Elgar, John Taverner, Small Faces, Bjork, Bob Marley, Elvis Costello, Iggy Pop.

What inspires you to make music?

I think you make a choice early on. Do you deal with what gets you up in the morning? Or what keeps you awake at night? Not mutually exclusive, but I think any artist veers toward one or the other. I'm not a morning person.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

I have always tried to just make and share, with a minimum of context, justification, explanation or promotion. My work naturally reflects my concerns and interests, I don't write to please anyone else. Oh,and I try to keep it simple. If people want to listen that's cool, if not, that's cool. I would like people to just take what they want from it.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

What do you think of Drooble?

dk yet

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Apathy.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Aware you may have, but.... don't understand the lack of attention they have received. 1/ Signals. South of England, math-pop. Clever. Tight. Great vids! 2/ Umez. Japanese art/hop duo, now defunct, who tried the waters in London. The gas mask! "Black Cat" still a favourite, like someone handed Mozart a Stratocaster and said "Off you go son!" 3/ Brittany Kurtinecz. US multimedia artist currently in Tokyo. 4/ Saito Koji. Japanese (again) ambient smith. "Blue" is sublime! 5/Lisa13 Harajuku fashion icon and guitarist for Moth in Lilac and Bad Baby Bomb. Born without a right hand.
