Paul Swiderski

I enjoy writing, recording and performing original music.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music keeps me sane and sober. Anything else is a bonus.

What is your music dream?

I’m walking down a dirt road, deep in a forest. It’s late night, but the moon is shining brightly. I come upon an ancient upright piano in the middle of the road. There is a skeleton on the bench, hunched over the keys. He’s seen better days.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Conspicuous consumption would not be considered proper behavior.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Who put the Benzedrine in Mrs. Murphy’s Ovaltine?

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

I don’t like to play favorites.

What inspires you to make music?

Restless brain syndrome.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

This is all you really need.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Like I’d rather be elsewhere.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Musicians tend to exist in their own realities. Government funding would be nice.

What do you think of Drooble?

Pretty good mix of people-talented, not so talented, smart, stupid, generous, a few crybabies. A fair cross section of humanity.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Where are my groupies?

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I never go out.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Bigger amplifiers.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Everyone on Drooble.
