Goal and dream is to be a song writer / producer. While I draw the inspiration of my songs from my own feelings and experiences I want my music to connect and resonate with others. If at least one person listens to something I create and goes "wow I really feel that", whether internally or out loud, then it's mission accomplished for me. Currently I mainly create/perform mashup and have recently became recording my own original songs with my vocals to get exposure to my lyrics / compositions, but being in the spotlight is not my true desire. Making the magic happen behind the scenes is more my forte lol.
Music is my favorite way to express myself, sometimes I find it's the only way I can express myself. Music can be therapy to me, it can be a wake up call, it can be a way to let lose and enjoy myself, it can be so many things I need to get through the day. Music is one of the things everyone and anyone can feel and enjoy. It shows that no matter how different we may feel or think we are from each other, we have indisputable similarity that make us human.
To make a living as a song writer / producer so I can spend my time doing what I love.
Start more programs that supported music as an art, career opportunity, and way to bring together a community of diversity.
Depends how young were talking lol. Below like 7 years it would have to be Wannabe by the Spice Girls because I watched Spice World non-stop as a kid.
Drake, Paramore, Panic! At the Disco, Kehlani, Halsey, Hayley Kiyoko and SoMo.
The thought that I could even remotely inspire or effect someone with my music the way some musician have effected me.
That we go through similar situation and feel similar emotions despite the things that make us "different" (sexual orientation, race, gender, etc.)
The closest I'm come to that is karaoke bars lol. I feel nervous, terrified, alive, excited, over critical of myself. So many feels and that's just from karaoke, so I could only imagine performing my own music.
Good question. I'll think on this further and come back to it.
I'll let you know once I've experienced it more.
That imagine can sometimes matter more than your music itself.
Not as much as I could or should.
I'm not sure yet, but when I figure it out I promise to share the secret.
Shea-dy Lady lol I have artist you may or may not have heard of: SoMo, Alex Aiono, Devvon Terrell and William Singe
