Story

The formula is simple: West African music emergent afrobeats and the sounds of London all come together, to produce Okikbeats’ sound, the fresh new voice from London. 
The young vocalist’s sound is inspired by his Nigerian heritage and the West African sound. But growing up in London has meant that Okikibeats has been exposed to a vast array of musical styles such as hiphop and R n B, all of which have added to his eclectic sound. He calls it afrofusion; smooth melodies, layered over a characteristically afrobeat rhythm. It is the sound of a young artist embracing his roots and merging it with the sounds of his environment. Coming from a musical church background, Okikibeats it was inevitable that he shared his sound with the rest of the world. Starting his journey having performed for Nigerian legends like Obey, Sunny Ade, Naira Marley, Sona, Burna boy, Mayorkunand live bands like Segun Ologo. These were achieved individually as well as collectively with his live band ‘Majestic Music’.
