21 years old guy who likes to play almost any kind of music :)
I think music is a way to explain yourself and communicate things. Each one of us has its own way to express ourselves: some play metal to express adrenaline or epicness, some play reggae to feel that kind of inner peace, some play pop to tell how much they love their people and so on. Music has a very important role in my life, it helps me to get through the situations and it inspires me alot in all the things i do.
My main goal is to share my music with other people all around the world. When you ask this question to a musician the first thing you think he might answer is "success" but i think that's a secondary thing, it only comes if you're chasing something else, you won't be successful if you look for fame only. But this works for everything in life.
This is the main point where all my music goes around. World is made of people so you have to change people. The way i'd like to change people is being able to make them think in the right way about everything in life. I just want to express things with my music, then i just gotta hope people understand what i told them and start thinking in different - better - ways.
When i was i child i used to listen to utterly different music than what i listen to now. I started listening to rap/disco music, now i listen to other genres like metal, jazz, folk and other stuff. But if i have to name one song i still remember it would be F**k It by Eamon.
I can't type each artist/band since i listen to lot different genres so i'll just name a few: Nile, Necrophagist and Behemoth (Metal), Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Fink and James Bay (Pop), Alestorm (Folk) and so on.
What inspires me to make music are the situations in my life. When i feel sad i write sad songs, when i'm happy i write fun music.
There are lot messages i would like to send with my music but i'll try to blend them into one: living life.
I feel very hyped. I can feel the warmth of the crowd waiting for my voice to come out and my hands playing the guitar. When people go to concerts, they want to have fun, so do i.
As far as technicisms, people are going really "beyond" in terms of blending genres or skills with their own instruments. I listen to alot technical death metal and everyday i go on YouTube and check piles of tech-death album by underground bands and they all seem to push that limit one stair up but i think there is a lack of creativity and emotion: since countless artists/bands were born outta nowhere most of them try to copy each others and really few try to take a their own path and this not a good thing for music.
Seems cool. I'm new at it so let's see how it works and if it will be helpful to me.
I always feel frustrated when i see someone better than me because i always think "damn why am i trying so hard on my music if there is someone out there better than me already?" or "i'll never be able to reach that point of skill with my instrument". These 2 thoughts really kill my positive energy.
I used to do that some years ago by going at metal contests in my city, lately i stopped going to concerts due to lack of money or friends with same music tastes.
They have to keep the same speed of the music evolution. I know lot people who keep playing old music and pretending to be heard by anyone. Playing modern music doesn't mean "sell ourselves" but being able to blend new tends with your music so people will like you twice.
I would like to suggest Fink (Alternative Pop), he has lot talents but not so many fans.
